Sleeps 6 | Bedrooms 3 | Bathrooms 1

In the early 1900s, The Old Farmhouse sat surrounded by over 550 acres of Southern Downs land blessed with rich soil, perfect for farming. This is fruit growing territory, and warm summer evenings would be spent relaxing on the verandah after a hard day’s work, the sweet scent of ripening peaches filling the air. Now, 100 years on, it’s your turn to come and unwind here, in the heart of Granite Belt wine country.

The Old Farmhouse is a century-old, high set classic Queenslander, now surrounded by vineyards. Owner & host Nicki saved the farmhouse from disrepair with an extensive restoration, and has created a beautiful, bright and airy holiday home, filled with carefully-curated vintage & antique pieces.

Sleeping up to six guests and welcoming families, there are three gorgeous bedrooms, a master with king bed, and two twin king single rooms, with French doors opening onto wraparound verandahs. All beds have quality linens, electric blankets, doonas and quilts, with furnishings designed by Tina Kent of Lady Chatterly's Affair. A brand new bathroom has walk in rainwater shower and huge, deep soaking bath.

A gourmet country kitchen comes fully equipped for those who love to cook, with two ovens, two dishwashers, KitchenAid appliances, Wedgwood china, large bowls & platters for entertaining, baking equipment, linen tablecloths & napkins and a picnic basket for your use. Pantry staples, Nespresso coffee pods & organic loose leaf tea are provided. The adjacent light-filled dining area has an open fireplace, high ceilings, fretwork, and original floorboards run throughout the home.

The lounge is an elegant space with an inviting country feel, with huge leather Chesterfield sofas, open fireplace (plenty of firewood supplied), cosy throws, original artwork, and a collection of both antique & handcrafted furniture by famous Brisbane furniture maker Ed Rosenstengel. For entertainment, there’s a large TV with Netflix, Stan & Prime to choose from, and high speed WiFi.

Outside, wide verandas overlook vineyards that are magical in every season, and there’s a comfortable cane lounge suite, perfect for your morning coffee, or sipping wine while taking in magnificent sunsets. The farmhouse is surrounded by lush green lawns, with outdoor table & BBQ, established trees, and rustic firepit. Come & unwind at The Old Farmhouse, a stunning home away from home, and luxurious escape to the country.
