Sarah Andrews transformed Captains Rest from a dilapidated fishing shack into one of Airbnb’s most successful properties worldwide. Its location, right on the waterfront in the tiny, remote village of Lettes Bay in Tasmania is certainly a contributing factor - the property enjoys breathtaking views over the bay, and of pristine wilderness beyond. But it was Sarah’s vision for Captains Rest’s interior that put it on the map. This little place has history, but also evokes emotion within guests that stay here; simply, it captures their hearts.
